Atiqa Zhakira Syahrul (230503131), a student of the Undergraduate Program in Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), has achieved an accomplishment by being selected as the 2026 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Ambassador of Universitas Sumatera Utara. The announcement was made on Wednesday (July 29, 2026), at the Academic Senate Meeting Room of Universitas Sumatera Utara.

The selection of the 2026 Universitas Sumatera Utara SDGs Ambassador aimed to identify students capable of representing the university in promoting SDG values and encouraging their implementation both within the university community and in society. Atiqa secured second place after successfully completing a series of competitive selection stages.

Atiqa’s achievement as the 2026 Universitas Sumatera Utara SDGs Ambassador reflects the commitment of students in the Undergraduate Program in Accounting, FEB USU, to supporting the implementation of the SDGs, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the development of student leadership capacities and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strengthened collaboration to promote sustainable development.

The Undergraduate Program in Accounting, FEB USU, expressed its appreciation for this achievement and hopes that Atiqa will carry out her responsibilities as the 2026 Universitas Sumatera Utara SDGs Ambassador successfully. Through this role, Atiqa is expected to become a change agent who inspires others and promotes the implementation of sustainable development values within the university community and society.
