The Indonesian Institute of Accountants (IAI) North Sumatra Region in collaboration with the Master's Program in Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara organized the Accounting & Leadership Business Forum under the theme “Driving Business Transformation through Strategic Accounting and Sustainability Leadership.”
The event took place on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Bank Sumut Hall in Medan, North Sumatra, bringing together academics, business practitioners, and professionals in the fields of accounting and finance. The forum aimed to highlight the importance of strategic accounting in supporting sustainable business transformation while emphasizing the role of adaptive and visionary leadership in navigating global economic challenges.
The event also served as a collaborative platform for academia and industry to exchange insights, knowledge, and best practices related to strategic accounting and sustainability leadership. Through this forum, participants were expected to gain broader perspectives on how accounting can function as a strategic tool in business decision-making and support sustainable business practices.
