The Faculty of Economics and Business of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU) successfully held a series of 63rd Anniversary activities throughout November 2024. With the theme "Collaboration of Academic, Business, and Government", this event became a collaborative event aimed at supporting the transformation towards a digital future. The various events organized involved the academic community of FEB USU, the business world, and the government, showing FEB USU's commitment to encouraging cross-sector synergy.
The anniversary series began with various competitions from November 1 to 23, 2024. These activities included table tennis, chess, Mobile Legends, traditional stone checkers, and happy trip competitions, which were enthusiastically followed by students, lecturers, and staff of FEB USU. Furthermore, from November 20 to 22, 2024, FEB USU held a bazaar in the faculty environment featuring local products, culinary specialities, and various MSME innovations. This bazaar is a tangible manifestation of FEB USU's support for the economic empowerment of the surrounding community.
The blood donation activity on November 22, 2024, was one of the events that received high appreciation. Located in the FEB USU parking lot area, this activity was held in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) and was attended by dozens of enthusiastic participants who donated their blood. On November 24, 2024, FEB USU held a lively, fun walk in the faculty environment, followed by hundreds of participants from various circles. The distribution of attractive gifts, such as t-shirts and other raffle prizes, made this event more lively.
In closing, the 63rd Anniversary peaked on November 25, 2024, with the holding of a Scientific Oration at the Prof. Dr. Soedhadi Hardjoprakoso Hall of FEB USU. This activity presented Mr. Erwansyah, a successful entrepreneur and practitioner lecturer, as the main speaker. In his speech, Erwansyah delivered material on entrepreneurial strategies and the role of digital transformation in the business world, providing valuable insights to all participants who attended.
This series of anniversary events is a place to reflect on the journey of FEB USU for 63 years and a momentum to strengthen the relationship between academics, the business world, and the government.
