Hamdi, S.E., M.Si., was born in Sumani on August 14, 1984. He completed his undergraduate education at the Development Economics Study Program, Universitas Sumatera Utara, in 2003 and graduated in 2007. In 2008, he continued his Masters education at the Master's Program in Development Economics, Postgraduate Program, Universitas Sumatera Utara, and graduated in 2010. Currently, Hamdi is pursuing a doctoral degree in Economics at the Postgraduate Program of the Universitas Sumatera Utara.

As a lecturer at the Development Economics Study Program, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Hamdi is trusted to teach several courses, including: Monetary Economics, Introduction to Monetary Economics, Financial Institutions, and Money and Capital Markets. His research interests and observations include the financial sector and monetary policy.
