The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FEB USU), is urging all lecturers implementing the 2026 TALENTA Community Service Program (PkM) to fulfill their obligation to submit Progress Reports as part of efforts to maintain administrative compliance, accountability, and the quality of community service activities.

The appeal was conveyed through a letter issued by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Number 21587/UN5/KaLPPM/LPPM/PM.01.08/2026, dated August 18, 2026, concerning the Request for Uploading Community Service Progress Reports. Lecturers implementing the 2026 TALENTA Community Service Program are required to submit their Progress Reports through the SIMABDimas USU system from August 18–29, 2026.

In completing the report, lecturers are required to pay attention to several supporting documents. One of these is the Video Output of the Community Service Program, which must be uploaded to the LPPM USU YouTube account. The video can be submitted through the following link:

For Community Service Programs involving the provision of equipment to partner beneficiaries, the Head of the Implementation Team is also required to include a Handover Certificate (Berita Acara Serah Terima/BAST) in the Progress Report. The BAST template is available at:

Timely and compliant submission of Progress Reports is an important part of ensuring that each Community Service Program is implemented in a measurable, well-documented, and accountable manner. This also contributes to strengthening the governance of community service activities at Universitas Sumatera Utara.

FEB USU remains committed to encouraging its academic community to actively contribute to society through the application of knowledge, research findings, and innovations relevant to the needs of community partners.

The implementation of Community Service Programs aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, through the utilization of academic knowledge and capacity to provide benefits and strengthen community capacity. The activities also support SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by strengthening collaboration among universities, lecturers, and communities as partners in community service.

Through orderly, transparent, and timely reporting, FEB USU is expected to further strengthen the quality and sustainability of its Community Service Programs while expanding the positive impact of higher education on society.
